Hide your inner light from God's enemies

What Jesus said (full verse)

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, for ye are like whited sepulchres, which appear beautiful outwardly, but within are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness. Blessed are the poor wearing patched ragged robes, for they appear undesirable to the worldly, but inwardly they hold in them the light of God. Shine like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly star lit from the oil of a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light; for God's light is come in you, and His Glory is kept hidden within, illuminating your soul through faith." - John 235:45

"Poverty is protection from the wicked." - Proverbs 134:13
